I've been informed of some information regarding the accomodation plans in Japan, so pls read

1) To the group coming via Jetstar or arriving on the 20/11/08, Stephanie will be arranging accomodation (still Hotel Chuo, I suppose) for 2 NIGHTS, and you will take the train to Kanazawa on 22nd Nov MORNING. So no accomodation in Kanazawa is needed.

2) To anyone else arriving on 21/10/08, please inform Steph if you want a one night accomodation at the same place/hotel (SMS her @ 0402645333). ...

A link below on getting to JR Kanazawa Station from Shin-Osaka or Kyoto

And if you checked the Kanazawa tourist website I posted, it also tells you how to get there:

Remember to get a JR West rail pass for 1 day (if you plan to travel a lot, get more days then), so you can transfer trains with ease and just one cheap price! (as for prices, ...

for those of you who have been to Japan before, what's the reasonable/ common price for hotels/ ryokans in Japan?

i've read through a couple travel booklet, it seems like $150-ish per night is like an average price?

and how are u guys planning to go around Japan? following a tour or go on ur own with a map?

and i've found that it is actually $100 cheaper if travel before 13/11/08 (for most of the flight)!

but if i take those flights, it will mean that i can't stay after the program, and will have to travel around before the program ...
